BIOGRAPHY.

Soohyuk was a premature baby. Born after only 32 weeks of pregnancy, almost 8 weeks early. His parents were left to sit on tenterhooks while baby Soohyuk spent most of his first year of life stuck in hospital, being watched like a hawk and put through numerous tests. The risk of underdeveloped lungs, a weak immune system, or even learning disabilities was high for a baby as young as he was. He'd already defied all odds by surviving longer than a few weeks, and he continued to do so. He was as healthy as any other baby born at 40 weeks, albeit very tiny, although that would soon change.

Understandably, his parents grew a little over-protective of him. They tended to concentrate on the numerous "what-ifs" that came with the territory of having a premature baby, even though he was already six years old and hadn't so much as caught a nasty cold. Soohyuk knew little of freedom, as much as a young child would normally be allowed, anyway. It didn't really bother him at first, seeing as things had been the same way ever since he could remember. But the more time he spent in school surrounded by other children, the more he wanted to be like them. Eventually his parents had to loosen the reigns a little, if only to put an end to the pitiful pouting Soohyuk had been subjecting them to.

Along with his first year of High School came Soohyuk's growth spurt, and a whole lot of attention from the opposite sex. His parents swore it had happened overnight. To them Soohyuk had still been that very tiny baby, until one morning a giant walked into the kitchen in his place. He'd grown into his looks too, mainly his ears, which still stuck out a little too much for his liking but the girls in his class didn't seem to mind them at all. Good grades, charisma, and popularity went hand-in-hand for Soohyuk, and High School passed by in an enjoyable blur. Truthfully he liked being the center of attention, and didn't want it to end any time soon. That in turn lead him to modelling. He was scouted on the street during summer vacation, but the idea of being bound to a contract for several years felt too concrete. Instead he sought out smaller companies, and did a few independent shoots to get his face out there.

Modelling was fun. The fact he could potentially pursue it as a career felt like a dream come true, and a chance not many people got. But then again he was more than aware that his looks wouldn't last forever, what would he be left with when they faded? He needed a plan B, and Fashion Merchandising fit to a tee. He'd seen and experienced enough to roughly know what people wanted. Standing on the otherside of the camera was a lot harder than he'd anticipated, he wasn't to be deterred though.
